Tour around Arusha City

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha by our guide in a 4×4 safari vehicle and head into Arusha. A vibrant city in the north of the country it vies with Mwanza to be Tanzania’s second city.

Its alternative name is ‘the Geneva of Africa’ having hosted the original East African Community back in the 1970s, the UN Rwandan Genocide tribunal for the past 25 years and the reformed East African Community. Its also the seat of regional government and the HQ to a number of organisations from Tanzanian National Parks to the EA court of Human Rights. All this can give the town a bit of a lopsided feel but it is countered by a vibrant business and farming community and of course being the hub of tourism in Norther Tanzania.

Your guide will take you around town pointing out all sorts of interesting highlights from the Clock Tower Roundabout – historically the midway point between Cape Town and Cairo on the Great African Highway to the colourful material shop streets and the old German Boma or fort.

There will be a chance to get out and explore the Boma and museum as well as the bright colours and chaos of the central market. Your guide will escort you throughout and make sure the trip is interesting and safe.
