So when the opportunity came up to be part of the World Climate Relay, it felt like a natural fit.
What Is the World Climate Relay?
The World Climate Relay is a global initiative that brings together individuals and teams from around the world to raise awareness about climate change through movement.
Participants run, walk, cycle, or move in any way they can – passing the “relay” across countries, communities, and continents.
It’s about collective action, shared responsibility, and starting conversations that matter.
Why We’re Taking Part
As a company rooted in Tanzania’s wild spaces, we see first-hand how environmental changes are affecting:
- Wildlife movement
- Seasonal patterns
- Local communities and livelihoods
Joining the relay is our way of stepping beyond our day-to-day operations and actively contributing to a wider conversation.
It’s not about grand gestures – it’s about showing up, taking part, and doing what we can.
The African Environments Team
Our team will be taking on the relay in true African Environments style – getting outdoors, moving through landscapes we know and love, and having a bit of fun along the way.
From runs and hikes to time spent out in the bush, this is about:
