My wife and I got married in January ’23, and knowing we wanted to go on safari for a honeymoon, opted to leave ourselves a year to research and plan. We were quickly introduced to African Environments, and the experience working with the entirety of this team for the last year has been fantastic. From first contact, they’re always listening to what we were considering and hoping to experience, and they took the time to educate us – ultimately setting up what was a perfect 8-day safari experience followed by 4 days in Zanzibar, which their office staff arranged all logistics for.
Our AE Safari stops included the Mysigiyo and Pembezoni camps, which both were superb in terms of location (natural beauty and proximity to unique local culture), and amenities. The true highlight of our Safari experience was the people of AE. Our guide and driver Shedrack was knowledgeable, engaging, and just plain fun to be around. He picked up on our interests, and took us on drives catering to that, pointing out things along the way we certainly would not have experienced without him. Staff at both camps were equally great and provided what I am sure will be one of the best customer and cultural experiences, and lasting memories of my wife and my life.
