Tarangire or Lake Manyara National Parks and Ngorongoro Crater.

Dry season (June to Nov.)

Day 1: Hotel near Arusha. Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Serena Ngorongoro Lodge. Drive from Arusha direct to the highlands of Ngorongoro Crater. The drive is about 4 hours, en route you cross the Great Rift Valley, see the fertile agricultural foothills of Ngorongoro and finally ascend into the Montane forest of the Ngorongoro highlands. You will have a picnic lunch with you.

Day 3: Serena Ngorongoro Lodge. From the lodge drive 20 minutes to begin the 2000 foot descent into Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend the day. Inside the Crater you will see a wide variety of wildlife up close. Enjoy a picnic lunch and at the end of the day ascend the wall of the Crater and return to the comforts of your hotel situated on the rim of the Crater.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park, Private Luxury Camp. The drive from Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire is about 3 hours. Once inside the Park gate you have endless game viewing options. You will have a picnic lunch with you so you can spend the rest of the day just enjoying the wildlife. At the end of the day you will find your camp waiting for you in a remote and private area of the National Park.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park Private Luxury Camp. Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Tarangire National Park. You can spend the entire day out and have a picnic lunch or, you can return to camp for lunch mid-day before heading out for a late afternoon game drive. Return to your private camp in the evening for sundowners and showers.

Day 6: Take an early morning game drive and depart after breakfast to drive back to Arusha in time for lunch. Day rooms at a hotel in town and opportunities for either relaxing or shopping in town. After an early dinner transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for the flight home. You can also hook up with an excursion at this point.

Wet season (Dec to May)

Day 03: Serena Ngorongoro Lodge. From the lodge drive 20 minutes to begin the 2000 foot descent into Ngorongoro Crater. Inside the Crater you will see a wide variety of wildlife up close. You can spend the entire day in the Crater as your picnic lunch will be in the vehicle. At the end of the day ascend the wall of the Crater and return to the comforts of your hotel situated on the rim of the Crater.

Day 04: Lake Manyara National Park Private Luxury Camp. The drive from Ngorongoro Crater to Manyara is about 2 hours. Once inside the Park gate you have endless game viewing options. You will have a picnic lunch with you so you can spend the rest of the day just enjoying the wildlife. At the end of the day drive to your private mobile tented camp placed in the best location for maximum game viewing.

Day 05: Lake Manyara National Park Private Luxury Camp. Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park. You can spend the entire day out and have a picnic lunch or, you can return to camp for lunch mid-day before heading out for a late afternoon game drive. Return to your private camp in the evening for sundowners and showers.

Day 06: Take an early morning game drive then pack up and return to town for a day room, shower and meal, before connecting with your outgoing flight. You can also, at this point hook up with an excursion.
