PERSONAL HISTORY
I was born on Pare mountains south of Kilimanjaro and raised on Usambara Mountain-Lushoto in Tanga I now live in Arusha with my wife and child. I chose to be a trip Leader because I love adventure especially climbing the mountain and wildlife conservation. I also love meeting and work with different people from different place.
I am extensively trained in mountaineering and safari guiding.
A couple of years ago I travelled to the United States visiting more that 6 States. I also got the chance to visit different Universities and Schools (New York University, Riverside High School in Wisconsin) to give talks about African Culture.
I visited the Film Studio in Hollywood in order to learn more about filming and was able to meet movie stars. I also got a chance to meet and share experiences with some different people in Minnesota and Minneapolis. I visited Yosemite national Park and got chance to talk with Rangers and warden and shared different ideas and do some hiking with them.
I speak English and Kiswahili fluently.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
2010-2000 Trip Leader. African Environments Arusha. My job is to coordinate client groups, ensuring safety of clients and crew on mountain and safari. Liaise between clients and company and crew to ensure a positive experience.
1997-2000 Assistant Trip Leaders. African Environments, Arusha My role was to assist the trip leader and train myself to become a trip leader.
1995-1997 Assistant guide and head guide. African Environments Arusha My job was full responsible for organizing the logistic and directing the staff. I was also full knowledgeable about the mountain.

1999-1998. Diploma of African Wildlife Management. Mweka Wildlife College, Moshi, Tanzania.
1993-1991. Certificate of African Wildlife Management. MWEKA Wildlife College, Moshi, Tanzania.

SKILLS and TRAINING
I am qualified as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) with qualifications through AERIE backcountry medicine, and over the past 10 years have attended many courses designed for the wilderness e.g., National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS)Advanced Mountaineering course in Naivasha Hells Gate National Park Kenya, and Farm and Wilderness Camp Plymouth USA Camp Counselor training.
I have also attended various wildlife courses run by the very well known wildlife author and teacher Richard Estes. Courses included Field Guiding and mammal behavior.
I have completed a 3 month Introductory German Course.
I hold a current driver’s license.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Sports-biking, soccer and music and travelling.
