Classic Tanzanian Safaris

There is no place in the world like Africa! And as far this continent goes, Tanzania is unrivalled in world-famous attractions. It encompasses the endless plains of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and its plethora of wildlife, the history of mankind in Olduvai Gorge, the flamingos of Lake Manyara, and the great Wildebeest Migration that sweeps into Tanzania every year.

African Environments believes in Tanzania and all that it has to offer, hence we have been based on the ground, in Arusha, for three decades. We have a fleet of our own specially designed 4×4 Land Cruisers maintained in-house, and a team of experienced, knowledgeable Driver Guides to lead you on your safari.

Because African Environments is local, family-owned and operated we can be a flexible as our clients’ desire. We pride ourselves on creating off the beaten track adventures which avoid the majority of budget-style traffic on the safari route. We aim instead to replicate the classic safari experience of years gone by, with big open airy tents, cold drinks, great food, and stories around an intimate camp fire.

“We drove, we watched, we laughed, we walked, we talked, we met, we learnt, we ate (far too well), we discovered, we drank (great Cosmos!), then we laughed a lot again. To get a group of 10 very different people of different age groups to do all that together and have the time of their lives was no mean feat! But African Environments did it with style and panache. The highlights for me were walking in the wilds of the Serengeti and the time spend with the Hadzabe tribe. So many unforgettable memories… thank you once again.”
