African Environments hosts First Aid training

Every year African Environments hosts a series of wilderness first aid courses at our compound in Arusha. We partner with Sentinel Outdoor Institute, a US based specialist training and guiding organization made up of highly dedicated and experienced instructors.
African Environments was the first Tanzanian tour operator to adopt the internationally recognized Wilderness First Responder certification having all Safari Guides and Leaders qualified. The knowledge and confidence our guides have acquired has been necessary in providing truly safe expeditions for our clients; not to mention invaluable in cementing our reputation as the leading Kilimanjaro operator.
Through hosting Sentinel we hoping to improve the standards of the overall guiding and tourism industry of East Africa. The courses are suitable for both professional guides, camp and office staff, as well as amateur adventurers or anyone spending time in the bush. We also host a Basic First Aid course taught in both English and Swahili which is suitable for childcare workers, teachers and conscious citizens.
